Title: Microwave Spin Control of a Tin Vacancy Center in Diamond
The tin-vacancy (SnV-) center in diamond is a promising platform for quantum networks due to its large ground state splitting, bright zero-phonon line, and inversion symmetric structure which reduces sensitivity to noise. Its large ground state splitting allows for high temperature operation but suppresses magnetic dipole transitions. Here we demonstrate high-fidelity quantum spin control of an SnV- center by applying a microwave drive to a strained emitter. This opens the door for use of SnV-‘s as a building block for the next generation of quantum networks.
