UC Davis Quantum Information Science and Technology Initiative will host high school seniors for the Quantum Computing Workshop for High School Seniors that will take place on Saturday, October 14, 2023 from 2pm to 5pm at Kemper Hall on UC Davis Campus (check in from 1:30pm). The goal of the workshop is to introduce students to quantum computing and provide advice on applications for college. The workshop will include a hands-on quantum cryptography experiment, tour of a quantum research lab and a micro- and nano-fabrication clean room. Students from any US school are welcome to apply as long as they can attend the full workshop in person. There is a number of travel grants up to $50 to support transportation expenses for students in need. High school students who are not seniors are welcome to apply, however, the preference will be given to seniors as the number of spots is limited to 32. The deadline to apply was October 10, 2023, the applications are now closed.
